Spending the summer in Summerlin? Whether you’re alone, with family, or with friends, here are some events you definitely don’t want to miss.
TOUR DE SUMMERLIN
April 22 • 7 a.m.
The Lawn at Downtown Summerlin
Why go all the way to France when we have our very own Tour de Summerlin? Whether you’re participating or spectating, this will surely be one of the most exciting events in Summerlin in 2023. The race offers three ride distances at 20, 40, and 80 miles, so beginners and seasoned cyclists can join. Each route goes through scenic landscapes and unique terrain which showcases why Summerlin is one of the best places to go biking in the entire Southwest. The start and finish are located downtown, making it a great pit stop for friends and family while they wait at the finish line. What’s cool is they also accept electric bikes, and if you’re only visiting or don’t have a bike, you can rent one as well. For more information, check out the event website.

TOUCH-A-TRUCK is an annual event where families, especially kids, get to experience seeing, touching, and exploring big trucks, from firetrucks and garbage trucks to tractors and school buses. This year’s event will be held in none other than Summerlin. Over 60 trucks will be showcased, and there will be other fun activities, food, and entertainment for everyone to enjoy. If you have a truck you might want to showcase, you may also bring one. The event is organized by Family to Family Connection, a nonprofit organization geared towards providing free education and resources to young children.
